In just a few short weeks, our summer program will begin on July 1st.
If you are new to our school, all forms and permissions should be completed and returned before the start of the program.
Each day your child should bring a lunch labeled with his/her name on it. A morning and afternoon snack will be provided. If you are arriving prior to 8:15 am, breakfast will be provided.
On your child’s first day at camp, please send a box or bag containing a change of clothes. If your child will be staying all day, please send in a small pillow and blanket for our daily “quiet time”.
Each week, on Tuesday and Wednesdays, we will have special “water days”. These days provide lots of fun with sprinklers, water tables, shaving cream, and more. Please send your child to camp with a towel and wearing his/her bathing suit, water shoes, and sunscreen. Their clothes for the rest of the day should be in a plastic bag with their name on it.
Once again, we are planning a “Soccer Camp” and “Yoga Class” alternating on Thursdays and Fridays. The first class will be held on Thursday, July 11, and the remaining classes will be held on Friday, July 19, Thursday, July 25, Friday, August 2, Thursday, August i8, Friday, August 1, and Thursday, August 22. These classes will be fun for the children and will enrich their love of sports and movement. We are looking forward to having “Kids in Motion” conduct these classes for us.
For your child’s safety, children should wear rubber-soled, sturdy shoes to school such as sneakers. Flip flops, sandals with no backs, dress up shoes, crocs and the like make it difficult for the children when they are playing outdoors or doing large muscle activities in the classroom. Children who do not have the proper foot attire will not be allowed on the climbing equipment or participate in large muscle activities. The exception, for summer, is water shoes, to be worn during water activities only.
Children should also wear clothing that they can actively play in without worrying if they will be in trouble for getting dirty. We do many hands-on activities with the children and do take precautions, but your help would be appreciated.
Remember, if your child has had a fever, diarrhea, or vomiting, they must be free of symptoms for 24 hours before they can return to school. If your child has a constant flow of mucus because of allergies, please send us a note from your doctor stating the allergen. Thank you for cooperating with these health issues so we can keep all of our children well.
We look forward to seeing your child this summer.
We plan on having lots of fun and build lasting friendships with others.
Donations of one box of tissues, a pack of wipes, and/or one roll of paper towels are appreciated.
Sincerely,
Marianne Krawiec, Director
